The Anti-Drug Coalition uses evidence-based practices and environmental strategies as initiatives in our community.  The role of the coalition as defined by the Managing Entity for Substance Abuse & Mental Health is to work alongside providers in the community with additional efforts that support prevention, education, and recovery.  Prevention providers generally include those who teach evidence-based programs directly through curriculum and education.  Providers utilize courses such as Know the Law, Too Good For Drugs, Social Emotional Learning, and also perform other community efforts such as Environmental Scans and Compliance Checks.  These evidence-based programs are proven to help reduce substance abuse among teens.  The Coalition also uses environmental strategies such as Social Norming Campaigns which provide a platform in the community for positive themes to emerge among teens.
