The 2020 Impact Games have been cancelled as of 5/19/20.  Entries are no longer being accepted.

Welcome to the 2020 Impact Games.  Below is a list of categories that students from Citrus, Crystal River, and Lecanto High Schools can compete in as a part of the IMPACT GAMES--"Battle of the High Schools."  Citrus High was the winner of the first ever Impact Games held in May 2019.  The Impact Games originated as an idea from local students and the Anti-Drug Coalition as a way to bring awareness to Substance Use and Mental Health among teens in Citrus County.  The event will be promoted as a way to celebrate National Prevention Week which is May 10-16th.  #preventionhappenshere #citrusimpactgames

Some events will be judged based on time(some are by the fastest time, some by the longest time) and others will be by the "best."  A couple of events will feature a top five that may include a vote on Social Media(TBD).

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY:  Participating students must be enrolled at Citrus, Crystal River, or Lecanto High Schools.  Students at PACE or one of the Academies like AES may participate under the school they would return to.

STUDENT PARTICIPATION:  Participating students may enter a maximum of 3 categories of the Virtual Challenges below.

STUDENT ATTIRE/Clothing:  Since this is a virtual competition and videos will appear on Social Media, clothing must be school appropriate.  It is highly encouraged by students who participated in the 2019 games to wear their shirts from last year(if you still have them.)  There are a limited amount of Crystal River and Lecanto tshirts leftover from last year's competition, and those will be available beginning May 1st at the School offices(no Citrus shirts left from last year).  If you DO NOT have a shirt from last year, please wear a school tshirt or school colors in your video to show your spirit.

POINTS AND SCORING:   Because this is a virtual competition, there will be additional spots and points awarded after the traditional 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.  Judging will be comprised of a committee made up of the Street Team Prevention Partners--Anti-Drug Coalition, Aspire Relationship Center(River Project), Eckerd Connects Hi-Five Citrus, Hanley Foundation, Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Tobacco Free Florida, and other community partners.  Throughout the competition updates will be posted on the Anti-Drug Coalition of Citrus County Social Media pages.  Please click on our links at the top of this page to follow us.  Updates will be shared with the schools also.  The school with the most points will win the IMPACT CUP.   Students who place 1st in the various categories will have the opportunity to win gift cards.
